How to Play

Single player PlayBook allows you to become the Offensive Coordinator of your favorite NFL teams, build a PlayBook for your teams based on what you believe your team will run in a given situation and pit your teams and compete against other fans of the same team. Get ready to test your play-calling skills and knowledge of the game as you challenge friends and other fans in this ultimate fantasy competition.

Joining a League

Players can choose to join either Weekly Leagues or Season Long Leagues. Each league must have 6 players in order to play. Players can join existing leagues or invite friends and create their own in the League Lobby.

Levels of Play

Basic

Free to play for YOUbeQB subscribers with a chance to win up to $100 per week.

Premium

$10 per team that you play for with a chance to win $500 per week.

Choosing Your Team

To get started with Single Player Fantasy PlayBook, pick a team that has a game listed this week in the league lobby. You can play for as many different teams as you would like.

Creating Your Playbook

After you have selected your team you’ll be prompted to create a playbook. To start, YOUbeQB has provided you with a pre-set playbook. If you choose, you can use this playbook as your own. If you’d like to customize and create personal playbooks select the Default Scenario under All Situations and select one of up to five plays (Run, Pass, Punt, FG, Go For it) for each down. If you wish, you can stop there and the plays you have selected will be called each time your team is on offense for each individual down. To create deeper scenarios, you can select plays by downs/distance (1st & 10), field position, score, and time remaining. Fantasy Playbook makes it easy for you to create a custom game plan that is as simple or detailed as you like. If your play call for a situation created matches the play on the field, you are awarded points in your head to head competition.

Who Am I Playing Against?

In the Single Player Fantasy PlayBook, you will be competing against others who have chosen to play for the same teams as you have. In the Basic level, you will be competing against all those who have picked to play for the same team you have. In the Premium level you will be competing against no more than 100 people who have decided to play for the same team.

Game Tracker

If you'd like to follow the action in real time during the game and track your scores against your competition, Fantasy Playbook includes an in-game viewer that displays vital information and stats such as the play you have called, the play that has been run on the field, points awarded, downs/distance, field position, total score and much more. Your Game Tracker page also includes the ‘QB Tron’ for live entertainment and trivia during the game.

Fantasy PlayBook: League Play

How to Play

Fantasy Playbook is an innovative new fantasy football game that allows you to draft and coach your favorite NFL teams, build a PlayBook for each team based on what you believe your team will run in a given situation and pit your teams and PlayBook in head to head match-up against other members of your league. Get ready to test your play-calling skills and knowledge of the game as you challenge friends and other fans in this ultimate fantasy competition.

Each week the 6 players in your league will compete against one another. All players will choose one of their 4 drafted teams to play against another player; totaling 5 games played per player per week. The user can use each of their teams no more than twice for the competition. Based on the players total points complied per playbook, a winner will be determined in each head to head match-up. The overall wins and loss total for each player will determine the overall winner for that week.

Drafting Your Teams

Similar to Fantasy Football, players will be required to Draft, but instead of players, Fantasy PlayBook allows you to draft entire professional teams. Each player will pick 4 unique teams. No two players will be allowed to have the same team. Prior to the draft getting underway, players have the ability to customize their draft order. Once the draft gets underway the user will have 2 minutes for each pick. If a user doesn’t choose to participate in the Draft, YOUbeQB will auto-pick teams for them based on the YOUbeQB default team ranking.

Creating Your Playbook

To start, YOUbeQB has provided you with a pre-set playbook. If you choose, you can use this playbook for all of your team’s match-ups.

Setting Your Match-ups

Each week you will battle the other members of your league in a series of head to head competitions. For each match-up, select one Playbook and one team from your roster. Each of your teams can be used only twice, so set your match-ups wisely. Playbook and team selection open Tuesday each week and close 1 hour prior to the first Professional game of the week. You will be able to see which Playbooks and teams your opponents have chosen to face you, but be aware, match-ups can be changed right up to the deadline. The player that emerges with the best win-loss record each week will be crowned the league winner.

Trading Teams

As in traditional Fantasy Football, you will be able to propose and accept trades of teams with other players in your league. Simply choose the teams that you’d like to trade and hit the Trade button. Once a trade is proposed it will be available for 3 days. The user to whom the trade is proposed can choose to accept or decline the trade. Users can have no more than 4 teams on their roster at any given time.

Other members of the league have the ability to veto a trade, not allowing it to go through. Three members of the league or the league commissioner must choose to veto in order to block a trade.

Adding & Dropping Teams

At all times there will be 8 “Free Agent” teams available for the members of your league to add to their roster. A player must have 4 teams at all time so when adding a new team a player must drop an existing team from their roster.

How do I know when the time to call a play is almost up?

When the time to call a play is almost up the game play page will alert you to "Make Your Call" and a whistle will sound. Just prior to the snap of the ball the time to call your play will expire and the play that you have called will be locked in. You can change your play call selection as many times as you like prior to the play cutoff. A single mouse click will highlight the selected play. The play that is selected at the time of the play cutoff is the play that will be submitted for scoring. If you do not change your play call for the next play calling period, the previous play called will remain selected.

How do I Challenge the scoring of a play?

Just like in Pro or College football, you have the ability to challenge the play call of the YOUbeQB official if you were not awarded points but believe your play was correct. Each player will be given two red challenge flags per game. These flags will be located on the bottom portion of the game play screen. To submit a challenge flag you must click on the challenge box prior to the official cutoff of the next play. If the Challenge was successful a notification window on the game play page located on the bottom of the scoreboard will inform players if their challenge was successful. Only successful challenges will be reported.

How do I call a Timeout?

Players will be given 6 Timeouts to use throughout the course of a game in place of a play call. These Timeouts can be used at any point throughout the game. Timeouts are located at the bottom of the Game Play page. When a Timeout is used you will automatically be awarded the set amount of points associated with the officials scoring of the play and based on the level at which you are playing.
